Northlight Advisory Services · Founded 2026

Northlight is a Canadian strategy and advisory practice.

I'm Elizabeth Lemoine and I'm a strategist and operations leader with over a decade of director-level experience — building systems, delivering complex programs, and helping organisations make better decisions. I founded Northlight to do that work directly, with the clients who need it most.

"Most organisations aren't drowning in problems. They're drowning in information and starving for direction."

Northlight exists to fix that. I work across strategy, operations, AI adoption, and app development — not because I chase every new thing, but because clarity is the rarest resource in any organisation, and it's what I'm here to find. The tools are there. The data is there. What's missing is someone who can look at the whole picture — without an agenda — and say: here's what's actually going on, here's what matters, and here's what you do next.

Before founding Northlight, I spent over a decade in director-level operations roles across nonprofit, tech, and global organisations — the kind of work where you're responsible for things actually running, not just advising on how they should.

I built Northlight Vault — a privacy-first cloud file browser — because I needed it and it didn't exist yet. That's usually when the best tools get made.

If you have a problem that needs clear thinking and real follow-through, that's what I'm here for. No jargon. No fog. Just the work.

Step 01

A direct conversation

Email is the best place to start. Tell me what you're working on — a paragraph is enough. No intake form, no automated sequence. A real conversation about whether there's a fit.

Step 02

Clarity before anything else

Before any recommendations, I get a clear picture of what's actually happening — not just the problem as it was described, but the problem underneath it. That's usually where the real work is.

Step 03

Work that holds

Strategy, systems, or tools — whatever you need, built to survive contact with reality. Not a report that lives in a folder. Decisions you can stand behind and structures that scale.

Northlight works with Canadian businesses and organisations navigating real decisions — clarity problems, operational bottlenecks, AI adoption, and fractional leadership. The four service areas are Strategy, Advisory & Fractional, AI Adoption, and Apps. In practice, most engagements touch more than one.
Primarily Canadian founders, directors, and operations leaders at small-to-mid-sized organisations — typically under 50 people — who have an operational challenge and need clear thinking, not a lengthy consulting engagement. The ideal client is experienced, time-poor, and has been burned by consultants who produced reports but no results.
Fractional leadership means bringing in a senior operator — in this case, Elizabeth — as an embedded part of your team for a defined period, without hiring a full-time executive. It's well-suited to organisations that need director-level operations or strategy capacity right now but aren't ready to hire permanently. Northlight offers this as part of the Advisory service.
Technically yes — but not in the way most people mean it. Northlight doesn't produce lengthy reports, recommend frameworks with trademarked names, or disappear once the engagement is over. The work is direct, specific, and built to result in something real. Think of it as a thinking partnership that ends in a decision or a system, not a slide deck.
Northlight is founded and led by Elizabeth Lemoine, based in Nova Scotia, Canada. All engagements are conducted remotely. The focus is Canadian organisations, though geography is negotiable when the problem is specific enough.
